How we make a difference

Emergency relief helps to address immediate basic needs in times of crisis. Emergency relief can act as a safety net for people experiencing financial distress or hardship and who have limited means or resources to help them alleviate their financial crisis.

Emergency relief can provide one-off support with:

  • Food parcels

  • Food vouchers

  • Part payment of utility bills

If clients require further support, we can assist in referring to other appropriate services.

Due to the extremely high demand for emergency relief, it may take several attempts to make an appointment.

What to bring to your Emergency Relief appointment

  • ID such as a driver’s license or concession card

  • Your Centrelink or Health Care Card if you have one

  • Payslips or income statements

  • Bank statements

  • Letters about your Centrelink payments, debts, bills or fines

  • Letters about your tax, rent, assets and other money you receive or pay

We ask that you contact us on 9401 2699 if you’re unable to make your appointment so we can ensure any cancellations can be given to someone else that is in need.

This service is supported by funding from the Federal Department of Social Services and Lotterywest.
